A stunning restaurant is opening in Toronto’s newest hotel next month

Within one of Toronto’s most anticipated hotel openings, Ace Hotel comes a new restaurant experience set to open next month. Earthy, simple, and functional is possibly the best way to describe the Alo team’s newest dining destination.

Introducing Alder, a sophisticated yet warm dining space that offers seasonal fare made by award-winning Chef Patrick Kriss.

The restaurant is in its final stage, set to open on August 9. Shim-Sutcliffe Architects is the team behind its interior design and has set the mood to reflect the “elemental nature” of its menu offerings, according to Alder.

The space features laid-in brick flooring, bush-hammered concrete walls, and a copper bar.

Its oversize windows will allow sunlight to beam through and offer a warm feeling – just like a bonfire.

As for its food offerings, guests can expect a bold menu made on a wood-fired grill for that smokey flavour. Along with its menu selections, Alder will offer classically inspired cocktails, craft beers, and a selection of wines.

Though the restaurant is opening in a few weeks, reservations can be made for opening night via Tock.
