June is shaping up to be a pretty wicked month, YYC! With restaurants being given the A-OK to reopen on the 1st, Calgarians will soon be able to hit patios again (with a limit of 4 to a table) and customers will be able to eat out of their takeout zone! This also means that new and upcoming spots will be able to open their doors to the public – these places include Fonda and Fora in the Westley Hotel, and the recently announced Grandin Hall – a member of the Hayden Block and Comery Block family.
Located on the corner of 4th Street and 25th Avenue SW (previously WURST), this Carolina-Style BBQ hall and brewery will have a beer hall, a brewery and a stage on its lower level.
From live music every other weekend to incredible food, this two-story spot will have all the makings for a perfect Saturday night – when we’re finally able to go out with our friends again.

Until then, you’ll still be able to hit their taproom, where they’ll have their very own Grandin Brewing Co. lineup of beer (as well as local faves), for a cold one and a bite to eat.
In addition to ale and malt, they’ll also have a pretty extensive list of whisky and cocktails, much like their sister resto’s Hayden and Comery Block.
Now, because construction is at its tail end they haven’t actually announced an official launched to date, but we can’t imagine it’ll be far off! They’re actually hiring staff in all positions as we type, so it’ll only be a matter of time.
For more information to apply check out their website at the link below, or follow them on Instagram here!
We certainly can’t wait for this one, folks! Bring on the bacon and beer.
