It turns out that Canadians of all shapes, sizes, and species love to shop at Winners. A goat was spotted checking out some patterned handbags at a local Winners location in Courtenay yesterday and his presence didn’t exactly go unnoticed.

Kyla Cordick told Curiocity that she and her sister were looking for sunglasses at the time, while their mom was saying hello to a puppy that was in the store. “We heard my mom say, ‘Girls girls look!’ We turn around expecting a cute puppy and there is a goat heading towards the purses.”

At that point, store employees and customers started gathering around to see what the goat was up to and escort him out the door, but not before he caused a bit of a mess. “It checked out the purses then a customer came up and walked the goat out, the goat took a pee as he was walking out of the store,” said Cordick.

This isn’t the first time this particular goat has tried to blend in with the people of Courtenay, either. According to CityNews, locals have named the goat Billy and even created a Facebook page for him.

“Someone kept saying ‘He’s famous, it’s Billy the goat. He’s local.’ So I went to the Comox Valley Rants and Raves and typed in ‘goat’ in the search area, and there he was. He was at Walmart eating watermelons in September of last year, he was taking a wander down Kilpatrick in July of this year,” said Cordick to the outlet.

Clearly, Billy gets around. We can’t wait to see what this fashionable farm animal gets up to next.
