Boy, the new options for this summer just continue to keep coming! Earlier today, the Vancouver Mural Festival announced that it’s coming back this August, and is bringing a whole bunch of stuff with it. From live entertainment to dozens of murals going up around the city, the festival is sure to have something for everyone. Let’s check it out!

Of course, the murals are the most important part of the festival (for us) and this year doesn’t skip a beat. There will be over 60 new ones going up this summer across 11 different neighbourhoods. So, whether you’re in Gastown, Edgemont Village, or Marpole, know that something new is coming.

Meanwhile, the recent move into Step 2 of the BC Restart Plan also means they can host live events once more. These include things like brunch clubs and live music concerts. But, there will also be drag and burlesque shows, yoga classes, and public art talks. Once again, we’re looking at a ton of options to enjoy during the festival.

And finally, the Vancouver Mural Festival is returning to in-person tours every day. We think we might actually hit one up, now that there are literally hundreds of pieces all with unique stories behind them. After all, these are more than just pretty pictures on a wall. Although, we’d take even that no problem.

The artist lineup, mural locations, and more will be announced over the next little while. So, we’ll keep you updated once that happens. We hope you’re as excited as we are about the return of live events and festivals in the city!
