You’re not ready for this one, YYC! Last week, Telus Spark Science Centre unveiled its first full-body virtual reality experience, and wow, is it something. For those looking for something different – we’d recommend Birdly – a dinosaur flight simulator that will take the rider to new heights during a time when the T-Rex was at the top of the food chain. This week hit one of Calgary’s many heated patios, grab a bite to eat and split a bottle of wine under the stars with someone special. After all, what’s better than a great meal and good conversation?

PET KANGAROOS IN A FIELD OF SCREAMS

Celebrating another season of spooks and scares, Cobb’s has also teamed up with the folks behind Screamfest to totally transform their 20 acres of land from family-friendly to fantastically freaky. Field of Screams is back. folks and from macabre-clad actors to gory decor, Calgarians who are looking to get into the spirit of things are encouraged to check out their 6 haunted houses, activities and petting zoo every weekend this month.

GET ‘HAUNTED’

Is there anything scarier than a parking garage after dark? The answer is no, so with that, we encourage you to check out Haunted Calgary – a terrifying-(ly safe) event held at the Horizon Mall in Balzac. This weekend walk through an ominous space full of surprises, but beware! You never know what might be lurking around the corner!

INDULGE IN THE LAST WEEK OF PASTA LA FEASTA

With comfort food season in full swing, the thought of penne is never far from our minds. For those like us, forever thinking about sauce-covered goodness, consider yourselves seen, heard and taken care of because this month Pasta La Feasta returns, celebrating the very best in Calgary’s growing carb scene.
