VIEW THREE NEW EXHIBITS AT CONTEMPORARY CALGARY

ENJOY LEGACY’S LIGHT DISPLAY 

Fill a to-go mug and bundle all the way up.  Until January 16th, Legacy’s magical display will light the night with over a million tiny bulbs strung up on everything from the clock tower to the houses. Don’t miss it!

COZY UP IN THE EAST VILLAGE HYGGE HUT

Located just off River Walk Plaza in the East Village, Calgarians looking to wind down after a day of in-city cross-country skiing are encouraged to check out the Hygge Hut! This Scandinavian-style spot is fitted with a cozy fireplace, a warm atmosphere and is perfect for cozying up under a blanket with a cup of Joe or hot cocoa.

RENT A FIREPIT

Get ready s’more lovers. After an incredibly successful pilot year, the FEE Calgary community fire pits are back and available to the public in hopes of warming the chillier months. Check out the link above for where and how you can rent one of these bad boys!

GO INNERTUBING AT WINSPORT

Not everyone is comfortable on a pair of skis, which is why we’re a big fan of the Winsport tube park!  Almost anyone can enjoy the breeze, the snow and themselves with this adrenaline-inducing Family Day activity – check it out!

SKATE OLYMPIC PLAZA

Lace-up and get ready to feel the chilly wind through your hair! Olympic Plaza, one of the city’s favourite ice skating rinks, is frozen over and open to the public. Check it out and enjoy, folks!

OR ONE OF CALGARY’S ICE TRAILS

Feeling more ‘linear?’ Winter is in full swing and while our feet are tired from lugging the rest of our bodies through another crazy year, we can’t wait to shove ’em into a pair of skates! This month, those looking to get their blades frosted can hit one of the two magical ice skating trails, now open within Calgary’s city limits.

GET OFF THE APPS AND ON TO 17TH

Let 2022 be the year of love! This Friday, 17th Avenue will be holding a community-wide two-week long singles ‘festival’, showcasing a bunch of local businesses. For more information about where and when you can check one of their many events, check out the link above!

SKI THE EAST VILLAGE NORDIC LOOP

WATCH NIGHTRISE AT THE BANFF GONDOLA
