We love a blast from the past! After closing the doors of its last remaining store in 2020, Zellers has made a comeback in the GTA and it’s giving us a dose of nostalgia we didn’t know we needed.

Zellers has reopened as a pop-up shop inside the Hudson’s Bay at Burlington Centre, according to Retail Insider. A section of the store is now decked out in Zellers’ familiar red and white branding and sells Canadian-themed clothing, accessories, home goods, toys, and more.

Hudson’s Bay is calling it a “fun and nostalgic experience with one of HBC’s most beloved brands,” the outlet says.

If the Burlington pop-up is too out of reach for you, Retail Insider says that Hudson’s Bay plans to bring it to other locations too. Because if there’s anything that truly unites us as a nation, it’s our love for this iconic Canadian department store.

Hudson’s Bay owns the rights to the Zellers chain, and the stores that were still standing just last year in Ontario were basically a shell of what they once were, their inventory mostly clearance items from the Bay. So it’s nice to see the brand revived back to its old self.

Canadians are sharing their excitement about Zellers’ return on Twitter.

Even the comedian Brittlestar chimed in with a hilarious love song to the nostalgic chain.

It’s safe to say that we’re ready to welcome Zellers back with open arms!
