You can rent the actual Home Alone house for just $25 this December

We can confidently say that the McCallister place is one of the most iconic homes in movies, period. So, finding out that the Home Alone house, in all its glory, would be available to rent for one night only has definitely got us intrigued. Airbnb has been on a roll with famous homes, but this might take the cake.

Located in the wealthy Winnetka suburb of Chicago, the home has retained all of its charm from the movie, both inside and out. While the furnishings have been updated, even the wallpaper has stayed the same in a couple of key rooms. Yes, we just watched Home Alone clips on YouTube to double-check.

Forget about having to avoid toy cars or Christmas decorations during your stay. Instead, you’ll be treated a night as Kevin intended- watching movies, eating pizza and Mac and Cheese, and playing with toys. Of all the iconic spots Airbnb has managed to offer, this one has the shortest timeframe, by far. So, while the booking itself only costs $25 USD, guests will be responsible for booking their own travel to Winnetka. Doesn’t sound too bad, but things get trickier when the booking opens on December 7th, and the actual reservation is for December 12th.
