As if the government’s catalogue of immunization prize packs couldn’t get any more impressive, they’ve just slapped us with another major announcement – this time, with the sports fanatics in mind! In addition to the travel vouchers, the three $1 million jackpots and the Stampede admission tickets, the Alberta Open For Summer Lottery just added a ton of CFL and NHL packages into the mix.
“We’ve all missed the thrill of watching our favourite teams play to the roar of a cheering crowd. Thanks to Albertans’ hard work at getting vaccinated, we can get back to many of our favourite pastimes and sports as we safely open for summer,” said Premier Jason Kenney in a press release.
“These prizes will help welcome fans back to their seats and are yet another incentive to get vaccinated as soon as you can.”
So what exactly is up for grabs? Let’s check it out!
Here is everything that was JUST added to the lottery by the Alberta government (winners to be announced July 29th):
Whew. There you have it!
Of course, in order to be eligible to win any of these prizes you need to get vaccinated first, folks – so get it yourself jabbed!
It’s also important to note that all participants must be 18 years or older, possess proof that they’ve been immunized with an approved vaccine and have actually entered to win (which you can do here.)
For any more information on the Open for Summer Lottery or Alberta’s reopening strategy, please visit the government’s website here, and remember to be safe, wash your hands and be kind to one another! We’re nearly out of the woods, folks!
