Are you dreaming of a white Christmas in Seattle? Holiday weather the past two years has had many locals wondering if they still live in the PNW. This year, it’s looking like there might be a slight sense of normalcy.

If you loved seeing Seattle covered in snow, you might have to wait until next year because the NWS is predicting low odds of a white Christmas in Seattle.

Historical odds are about 4% and this month, they are predicting “probably less than that.”

This prediction does go hand in hand with the extended winter forecast that predicted overall warmer and drier temperatures.

Now as we all know, Seattle’s weather can be extremely unpredictable. Ahem, last year’s ice storm. But with chances less than 4%, our city’s weather would really have to pull out all the stops.

If you’re bummed about the probable lack of snow, there is some good news, our state has plenty of places to enjoy it. From sledding at Mt. Rainier to Washington’s Sno-Parks and of course our states amazing ski hills.

While it may not be white this year, Merry Christmas Seattle!
