Hot & Dry: Here’s a look at Seattle’s summer weather forecast

While it may feel like summer in Seattle, our city is still a few weeks away from the warmest season of the year. But just how warm will it be this year? With our city’s classically unpredictable weather, it’s hard to know the exact answer, but we do have an idea. Here’s a look at the Seattle summer forecast. 

According to the NWS seasonal temperature outlook, Seattle and western Washington as a whole are “leaning above” average temperatures by a chance of 33-40%. The current seasonal temperature outlook covers June, July, and August which means we are likely looking at another toasty summer.

Keep in mind that normal temperatures for June range from 68-73 degrees, 74-78 degrees for July, and 75-78 degrees for August.

What’s more, the same time period’s precipitation outlook sets Seattle and western Washington at “leaning below” average precipitation. So think dry and hot.

Luckily, Seattle has plenty of beaches, even some secret ones, and state parks accessible only by boat. Like recent years, Seattleites will likely have to get creative with beating the heat, hence the ideas.
