If you love the arts and beautiful scenery, you’ll find it all in one place in the adorable town of Warkworth.

Located less than two hours outside of Toronto in the beautiful Trent Hills of Northumberland County, Warkworth is as charming as it gets.

It’s described as a “designated arts community” nestled among seven picturesque rolling hills.

The town of Warkworth says it offers a “unique blend of a friendly country village and uptown style.”

It’s a haven for those who love theatre, music, fine arts, sculpture, dining, shopping, and studio-hopping.

As you stroll among the historic architecture and breathe the fresh country air, you’ll pass many shops selling unique items of all kinds.

When you’re ready to catch a show, the Warkworth Town Hall Centre for the Arts regularly hosts professional actors and musicians.

As for outdoor attractions, The Millennium Trail “meanders beside a gurgling brook,” the website says.

It’s also where the famous Warkworth Lilac Festival takes place every spring.
