There’s no shortage of fun to be had at the Shipyards this summer! If you’re looking for some outdoorsy fun this June, know that the VIMFF Summer Fest is about to touch down in North Van. For one short day, you’ll be treated to laughs, live music, and of course, a serious slate of films to check out.
As a quick recap, the Vancouver International Mountain Film Fest is usually a winter affair, showcasing some of the best outdoor-focused documentaries around the world. But, this month they’re trying something new, and they’re pulling out all the stops for it.

On June 26th, the VIMFF Summer Fest will be bringing a whole bunch of fun to the scenic setting. We’re talking an outdoor climbing wall, we’re talking a little waterfront yoga, and yes, we’re talking 11 different short films they’re showing off from past festivals.
Alongside all this action, visitors will be able to kick back and relax in the beer garden while some live music goes down, or check out one of the food trucks they’re hoping to nab for the day. And then, as a final bonus, they’ll be offering some giveaways and hosting local vendors for a little shopping as well.
Yeah, it’s an entire day of excitement, and one we think just about anyone should try to get out to. See you there!
