Hello, food lovers! Considering it’s the end of the month, we thought it would be nice to round up some new restaurants that opened in Vancouver this October. Well, more than restaurants- this list has food trucks, breweries, and specialty options to try as well. Let’s see what opened up!

Here are 7 new restaurants to try around Vancouver.

Le Tigre Food Truck

More of a reopening than an opening to kick things off. After a hiatus of over a year, this iconic Asian fusion food truck returns to Vancouver streets this weekend. While a rice bowl is always nice, we’re recommending the crispy chicken bun instead. But, we’re just craving a good sandwich right now.

When: Reopens Friday, October 30th
Where: Locations vary

Bonjour Banh Mi

It’s always nice to grab a banh mi. They’re cheap and delicious, and the perfect option for when you’re on the go. So, why not try out Vancouver’s newest spot for them? If you find yourself in the area, definitely swing by.

Hours: Daily, 10 AM-6 PM
Where: 5556 Cambie Street

Zoomak Korean Tavern

Roughly translating to pub or tavern, Zoomak is hoping to put a contemporary spin on Korean comfort classics. So, we recommend swinging by with a friend or two and grabbing some share plates. Just don’t get too silly off of soju. Responsibility is fun too, folks!

When: Open Monday to Saturday, Closed Sunday
Where: 52 Alexander Street

Shuck Shuck

We’ll be honest, this is the craziest concept of the new restaurants in Vancouver. Not because oyster bars don’t belong in the city, but because Shuck Shuck has turned the toppings game on its head. One example of their curated menu? The Canadiana, which has maple syrup, pickled beans, ketchup chips, and bacon dust. It’s so crazy it just might work!

When: Open Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday
Where: 227 East Pender St

Bad Apple

Bad Apple is the latest Vancouver restaurant to specialize in vegan comfort food, which we’re rejoicing about. Expect burritos, nachos, a great draft beer list, and happy that runs from 2-6 PM every day. Supporting local, eating vegan, and getting deals? That’s a trifecta right there.

Hours: Daily, 12 PM-10 PM
Where: 2481 E Hastings Street

Superflux Beer Company

On the other hand, this IPA specialist finally opened its lounge earlier this month. While the beers are great, we’re actually more focused on the hot dogs, which come with toppings like Dungeness crab, mortadella, and pickled beets. We’ll always miss Bestie, but we need to focus on what’s available now in the world of sausages.

When: Open Wednesday through Sunday
Where: 505 Clark Drive

Turns out, the Taiwanese also have a long history of bento boxes on train rides. Luckily for us, the new eatery A.Bento has brought the concept to Vancouver. Plus, they’ve got both delivery and takeout options available. So, this is our top pick for your next night-in meal.

Hours: Open for lunch and dinner daily
Where: 656 W Broadway

And that’s our list of 7 new restaurants to try in Vancouver! Get out there and support local businesses through delicious meals. It’s really too easy of an option.
