Attention, Vancouver cycling enthusiasts! You don’t have to be an expert biker to enjoy this exciting summer kick-off event. So grab your bikes and helmets, and get ready to enjoy a free festival with activities for the whole family to enjoy.
On Monday, May 1st, Concord Pacific announced it will host and fund the third annual Tour de Concord cycling race and Free Family Bike Festival this June, both of which are part of its returning Summer Wellness Series.
As well, the series includes two programs in partnership with Lululemon: “Own Your Run,” which commences this Wednesday, May 3rd, and Thursday yoga sessions at Concord Community Park beginning in July.
“We are committed to the communities in which we build and have been enabling healthy living for over 30 years with our support of citywide events, charities and our progressive masterplans,” says Terry Hui, President and CEO of Concord Pacific Developments. “The Tour de Concord Festival and race embodies so much of what we represent.”

The race and festival with mark Vancouver’s first major summer event, taking place on a new 900-metre cycling course within Concord Pacific Place.
According to the release, this new custom-designed route will eliminate the need for closures of surrounding streets and minimize disruptions for neighbouring residents.
“The City of Vancouver is proud to once again welcome cyclists from across North America for this marquee race,” says Mayor Ken Sim. “Events like the Tour de Concord are an important part of creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere around our city – we look forward to seeing the positive impact of this year’s race.”
From 11 am to 3 pm, registered racers will participate in the following categories:
The Free Family Bike Festival features everything from food trucks and a beer garden to a variety of bike vendors with the latest road bikes, e-bikes, and more to check out. There will also be a Kid’s Zone with bike & helmet decorating, and a child-friendly obstacle course with games.
Oh, and free ice cream and treats for the kids!
So there you have it, Vancouver. The perfect way to ring in the summer season and get some exercise with the whole family.
