Vancouver just got its first-ever croissant crawl & here’s where it takes you

If you’re looking to feast on the flakiest, softest croissants in Vancouver – we’ve got good news for you. The city’s first-ever croissant crawl is slated for early October, and the self-guided tour will take you to 10 of the best spots for croissants in the area.

“When I moved to Vancouver earlier this year, I was on the hunt for new friends and go-to eats,” explains Crawl organizer Laura Jo on her website. “Why not do both at the same time? I invited a few fellow moms to a croissant crawl downtown. I realized I wanted to scale and elevate the idea for others in the city to enjoy together.”

From the classic French pastry to limited edition flavours and croissant sandwiches – here are the participating vendors on the crawl:

  • Bel Cafe (both locations): Churro Croissant (cinnamon and dulce de leche)
  • Cadeaux Bakery: Mash n’ Stuffin Croissant (Filled with garlic mash, rosemary bechamel, stuffing frangipane, topped with more stuffing frangipane)
  • Davie Village Bakery: Double Baked Almond Croissant (twice-baked almond croissant filled with almond cream and finished with a dusting of icing sugar & sliced almonds) and Double Baked Pistachio Croissant (signature double-baked pistachio croissant filled with pistachio cream and topped with icing sugar & crushed pistachios)
  • Lumine Coffee: Apple Crumble Spice Double Baked Croissant (double-baked croissant version of a spiced-apple crumble, topped with caramelized honeycomb candy & vanilla buttercream)
  • Nelson the Seagull: Melktart Croissant (A buttery croissant baked into a muffin shape and filled with a cinnamon-spiced melktart custard. Topped with a rooibos tea glaze & a cinnamon cookie crumble)
  • Seasons Bakery: Double Baked Kaya Pomelo
  • Terra Breads (all four locations): Pumpkin Pie Double Baked Croissant (classic butter croissant filled with a pumpkin almond spice cream and a crumble topping)
  • Trafiq Cafe & Bakery: Apricot Streusel Croissant
