The University of Washington is big in the news these days! Just three weeks ago, the university ranked as one of the best in the world. But where doe’s that leave it standing within the nation? We have your answer, U.S. News just released its Best National University Rankings, let’s check it out.

U.S. News looked at 1,500 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions, ultimately ranking them based on 17 measures of academic quality. Let’s take a look at the top ten schools and where the University of Washington sits.

Sadly the University of Washington didn’t make the top 10 but our local university did sit pretty within the top 100. Coming in at number 55, UW ranked #9 in computer science, #5 in nursing, #19 in top public schools, and #27 in best schools for veterans. Other schools with similar overall rankings included Florida State University, Pepperdine University, and Rutgers University.
