Seattle is getting a massive holiday celebration with a 45-foot tree lighting & fireworks this week

As the calendar inches closer to the most wonderful time of the year, you can immerse yourself in the magic of the season by watching the Tree Lighting Celebration at Seattle’s Westlake Park this week. The festive event promises an evening of merriment and cheer that you won’t want to miss.

The enchanting festivities commence at 3:30 PM on Friday, November 24th. A lively pre-show, will set the stage with harmonious melodies of local artists. Hear from Holiday Harmony POP, the Pike Street Drummer, and more. Shellie Hart from WARM 106.9 will emcee the pre-show extravaganza and get you excited with a spirited atmosphere and energetic performances.

The main draw of the evening, the Tree Lighting Celebration kicks off at 5 PM. The countdown will be led by emcees Ursula Reutin and Micki Gamez from KIRO Newsradio. Watch as the magnificent 45 foot holiday tree comes to life and the iconic Macy’s Star illuminates Westlake Park. To cap it all, a dazzling fireworks display will light up the night sky.

After the tree lighting you can keep the festive spirit alive while watching and listening to performances by the African American Cultural Ensemble and motown vocal trio, The Jewel Tones.

All in all, the Tree Lighting Celebration at Westlake Park is a classic Seattle tradition and you don’t want to miss it.
