Autumn is the most beautiful time of year in Ontario, and what better way to see the changing leaves than through the window of a heritage steam train? The South Simcoe Railway is holding a special scenic train ride in Ontario this October through the majestic Beeton Creek Valley.
The train ride departs from the railway station in Tottenham, which is 20 km west of Highway 400.
You’ll want to make a day trip out of it too because there are local shops and restaurants to explore in the area, as well as a conservation park with swimming and picnic space.
Your trip will be accompanied by friendly and educational commentary from the train’s conductor, who will tell you all about this railway and how it helped Canada become the country it is today.
