A street festival is coming to the city this Sunday, just in time for the last stretch of warm weather. The event, called ActiveArtsTO, will take up 5 km of Lakeshore Blvd, which will become one giant sidewalk for the day.

The free event will have all kinds of fun things to do, including pop-up art, dance demos, an 80s roller skate party, lion dancing performances, basketball games, and so much more.

You’ll get to dance the day away to the sounds of DJ Dijon while you hit up some yoga, spin, and jump rope classes. If you’re feeling even more adventurous, you can hit up a Kung Fu workshop.

Toronto’s Hijabi Ballers and the Muslim Womens’ Summer Basketball League will be hosting games where you can join in and practice your 3-pointer.

Green spaces and landmarks around the area will become activity hubs for the day, including Coronation Park, Ontario Place, and Marilyn Bell Park. You’ll be able to wander along Lakeshore between Strachan Ave and Windermere Ave to check out all the fun things going on.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can hit up any of the 270 restaurants participating in the city’s DineTOgether event, which kicked off last week.

These eateries are offering special feature menus for the next two weeks, with two courses that consist of a main dish and an appetizer or a dessert. The menus are available for dine-in, delivery, or takeout, and range from $15 to $50 per person. You can see a map of all the restaurants and their special offers here.

We’ve almost reached the end of outdoor festival season and now’s the time to enjoy it to the max!
