Christmas is coming in faster than you can say “keep the change, ya filthy animal,” so it’s time to embrace those festive vibes… and what better way to do that than to hit up some low-cost December events?! Keep reading for the scoop on this month’s to-dos!

Holiday Fair in the Square

Whether you’re shopping for that perfect gift, taking the fam out for a day of skating/rides/games, or stopping by for a drink with the crew, Holiday Fair in the Square has the festive game on lock.

When: Saturdays From Now Till December 22
Where: Nathan Phillips Square– 100 Queen St W
Time: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Cost: Free

Toronto Christmas Market

With 40,000 glowing lights, a crazy 1.5 km of gold ribbon wrapped around the tree, and 800 Christmas ornaments this tree is setting the standard for what is set to be the most lit Christmas market yet. Don’t believe us? Well, you’ll just have to check out the entertainment, vendors, and beer gardens once they set up shop come mid-November.

Where: The Distillery District– 55 Mill Street
When: Now Till Sunday, December 23 (closed on Mondays)

Cost: Free Till Friday at 5:00 PM

Scottish Holiday Traditions

Pass the haggis, aye?! Celebrate the Scottish holiday season at Gibson House Museum, with tasty treats by the open hearth, Victorian-era decor, and lots and lots of kilts. (Maybe if we’re lucky they’ll leave the bagpipe out of it.)

Winter Flower Show at Centennial Park Conservatory

Plants are officially cool these days, so take a moment to smell the roses (literally)– free or charge! Centennial Park will have thousands of colourful blooms, vines, and lush plants from around the world on display, so hit them up to see it.

When: Now Till January 9

Aquavision 2018

If you’re into water, colours, and art (who isn’t?!), Aquavision is for you! A beautiful collection of watercolour paintings, The Toronto Watercolour Society’s exhibition has earned a reputation throughout Ontario for being ultra HQ. Pay ‘em a visit from now till the new year!

When: Now Till January 16
Where: Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery–399 The West Mall
Time: Weekdays 9:00 am – 8:00 pm; Weekends 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Cost: Free
