According to Environment Canada 5-10 of snow is expected to hit Toronto on Tuesday.

“Models are indicating snow on Tuesday,” said Environment Canada Weather Preparedness Meteorologist Peter Kimball in an interview with Curiocity.

“Accumulations of 5-10 cm of snow are the estimates right now but of course, that is always subject to change.”

If you’re hoping for the snow to stick around so you can get out and enjoy it, Kimball says that may not be the case.

“It will likely change to rain and melt on Wednesday because temperatures are supposed to go above 0°C.”

The forecast is calling for temperatures of 4°C – 6°C as a high on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the lows not dropping below freezing.

Environment Canada also warned Torontonians to be prepared if they plan to be driving on Tuesday as Toronto could see unsafe driving conditions during the afternoon commute due to the snowfall.

Stay in the know and be prepared for this winter weather, Toronto!
