It’s back! Maple Leaf Square will once again transform into a giant hub for Toronto sports fans as the Leafs and Raptors enter their respective playoffs this month and host tailgate parties for both teams.

The square, which Raptors fans have come to know as Jurassic Park, will welcome thousands of fans throughout the team’s NBA Playoff run to watch the game on the big screen and celebrate together for the first time since 2019.

To kick off the team’s first game of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, a Raptors Tailgate will be held this Saturday, April 16.

Tailgate parties will be hosted for every home and away game throughout the playoffs for both teams.

Fans in attendance will enjoy giveaways, fun activations, special guests, and a live DJ, according to Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).

However, unlike in previous years, fans will have to register for free mobile passes in advance to enter.

Passes for this weekend’s event are now available on Scotiabank Arena’s website, and passes to future games will become available 48 hours before each confirmed game. You can register for a maximum of four passes per game.

Gates open two and a half hours in advance of the game and close at the end of the third quarter for Raptors games and the end of the second intermission for Leafs games.

Restaurants near the arena will be hosting viewing parties of their own throughout the playoffs. Real Sports (RS) will offer an interactive game experience with exclusive giveaways, guest appearances, special menus, and a live DJ after every home game.

E11even also has a new menu which you can enjoy during the game as well as post-home game DJ shows. Both restaurants are set to open their patios in time for the Raptors’ first playoff game this Saturday.

It’s an exciting time of year for Toronto sports fans and we bet the whole city will be hearing the roar from Jurassic Park this season.
