This Tacoma brunch spot just ranked as one of the best in the world

What’s a better way to enjoy your weekend than brunch with friends? Sure we all have our favorite spots but it doesn’t hurt to try something new. Especially because a Tacoma restaurant just ranked as having one of the best brunches in the world.

TripSavvy just released its 2022 Editor’s Choice Awards and brunch happens to have its own category. There were a total of six winners in six different regions. Those regions included the Caribbean, Mexico, Midwest, West, Europe, and South.

The Tacoma restaurant that caught the eye of TripSavvy is non-other than TibbittsFernHill. If you’re unfamiliar, the restaurant is run by Chef Shawn Tibbits and focuses on casual comfort food with ingredients sourced from local farmers. Brunch is their bread and butter and as such, they have become nationally and now globally known for their dishes.

As ingredients are locally sourced the menu does change but to give you some ideas, diners can enjoy dishes like the “Lobster Bomb”, a lobster and egg dish served in a bread bowl. You’ll also find sweeter items like Candied Pecan French Toast made in “Bread Pudding Style.”

If you’re into brunch, it’s definitely worth the drive down to Tacoma but keep in mind you do need to make reservations for weekend dining because this spot is seriously popular.

If you’re keen to travel the world for brunch, the other winning brunch spots that made the ranking are as follows.

  • B&B Sei Stelle, Italy
  • Cranky Al’s, Wisconsin
  • La Sombra del Sabina, Mexico
  • Shirley Heights Lookout Restaurant and Bar
  • The Jefferson Hotel, Virginia
