We’ll be honest with you folks, even we didn’t think that the words ‘private island’ and ‘adorable’ could go together in the same sentence, but we’ve been proven wrong. Say hello to Lamb Island, which is just 2 hours away from Vancouver and is about the cutest island we’ve seen in BC. Let’s check it out!

The island is located on the southern side of Vancouver Island, outside of Sooke. And while it’s extremely private (as an island would be) it is located just 500 ft offshore, making trips to nearby towns and amenities a breeze. As for outdoor activities, well, you’re right in the heart of the Salish Sea, so we hope you like kayaking, hikes, and long walks on the beach.

The island itself is just an acre in size, but features two properties for your convenience. First up is the main house, which comes in at 2,280 sq. ft. and has 3 beds and 2 baths. The home screams West Coast contemporary thanks to massive windows, an open floorplan, and a serious consideration for inside/outside elements. How serious? We’re talking unfinished rocks, most likely the foundation itself, in the living areas.

In addition to the main home, there’s also a 724 sq. ft. loft featuring 2 beds and 1 bath. And while it’s smaller than the main house, it has its own draw- a private patio and hot tub overlooking the water and the nearby forests. And while the main house has one too, we think it’d be fun to mosey back and forth between the two, just because you can.

Although the island is small, there are plenty of trees to shield you from the elements. And, in addition to the natural vegetation, the current owners have also set up a cute little garden off of the main house. We doubt you’ll become self-sufficient anytime soon on this one, but it’s a very idyllic hobby to pick up, don’t you think?

Finally, we’re loving the vibe of the deepwater dock here. We don’t know exactly why, but it looks like just about the most welcoming spot to pull up to it. It could be the gently faded decks, or the cute little lawn chairs overlooking the boats. Whatever it is, we want to experience it.

Of course, in order to do so, we’re going to need to come up with around $2.25 million. We guess a lifestyle like this doesn’t come cheap, hey? Oh well, at least you’ll get one of the boats as a signing bonus!
