Ready to get out and about this week? Well, lucky for you, there’s an amazing Fraser Valley farm that’s currently offering U-pick strawberry visits! As always, Maan Farms has proven itself as a staple Abbotsford attraction. And, since BC’s public health regions have been reorganized, we can actually visit it! Here’s what you need to know.
Although their current location opened in 2006, Maan Farms has actually been in operation for over 40 years, with a focus on blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries for most of that time. And with time, they’ve been able to grow, now offering things like goat yoga, a sunflower festival, and a market to buy goods and food from.

But, it’s their ‘Strawberry Days’ event that really calls back to the beginnings of the farm. After all, you get to wander around their lovely fields, picking out the tastiest-looking strawberries you can find. Guests can choose between a medium (5-6lbs) or a large (8-9lbs) bucket. Or, if you’ve got kids under 12, there’s a small size available for them as well.
Now, are we going to figure out how to use like 6 pounds of strawberries? Probably not, but we’ll take what we need and give a few away to a couple of friends this weekend! It’s been a while (years) since we’ve enjoyed a berry that we picked ourselves, and we’re ready to get back to nature.
