This family-owned cafe just did something amazing for the community of Brentwood

Times are tough, but you guys know that. The last year has been pretty messy, however, in an attempt to see the brighter side, the pandemic has also reminded us to appreciate acts of kindness no matter the size. In this case, Thanks to the Joyful Java Cafe, Calgary’s Brentwood has seen something pretty spectacular and it shouldn’t go unnoticed.

With restrictions still in place and distancing just as important as it was in March of last year, this family-owned coffee shop has actually purchased a park-full worth of picnic tables.

“Our backyard is being prepped for all things respectfully spaced to study, socialize + sip with that said we will also be dog friendly!” They said in an Instagram post this week.

Little did the public know that – according to a Tweet posted by a family member – the trendy spot actually spent the last of their cash flow on the initiative.

If that doesn’t prove their commitment to the community, we’re not sure what will!

In return, they’ve really asked for nothing, so for this reason if you’re going to get a coffee today or at some point this weekend, consider the Joyful Java.

It’s really the least that we can do to thank them… in addition to, ‘ya know, saying thank you. Check them out, Calgary!
