Seattle’s music scene is one that has gone through all sorts of ups and downs. But it has never experienced anything quite like the COVID-19 pandemic which threatened the existence of not only the artists themselves but also the city’s best music venues. Luckily for us, one of Seattle’s best and most iconic venues, The Showbox, is returning next month after over a 500-day closure.

Like many other local music venues, The Showbox closed early in 2020 due to COVID-19 regulations with no idea when they might be able to reopen. But now that Washington has reopened venues are starting to cautiously reopen their doors to the public. If you haven’t seen a show yet this summer, heading to the reopening party might just be the most fun you’ve had yet.
