We could all use an extra dose of R&R this time of year, and soaking your stress away in a hot spring pool might be exactly what you need. Blue Mountain isn’t the only destination in Ontario with scenic saltwater baths in the open air. This spa resort in the Niagara region might be worth putting on your radar.

The 100 Fountain Spa at the Pillar and Post vintage hotel boasts some of the prettiest pools around. The 13,000 sq ft facility has an indoor saltwater pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, and a hot spring pool surrounded by plants and greenery.

As a spa guest, you’ll also have access to the fireplace lounge and fitness center. There’s even a lunch menu you can order from if you get hungry.

There is a range of spa services you can sign up for too and with Niagara being Ontario’s wine country, you’ll find some unique treatments like pedicure treatments using locally harvested wine-based products.

You’ll need to spend a night at the Pillar and Post hotel to access the spa, but it’s a great excuse to spend time in Niagara-on-the-Lake which was just named one of Canada’s best cities to visit during the holidays.

If Niagara’s too far out of your way, you can check out the hot springs pools at the Millcroft Inn in Caledon. There are also tons of relaxing spas with indoor saltwater pools around Toronto that you can visit just for the day.
