Whether you head to The Polygon for their newest exhibit, the PNE for some roller derby action, or chill at a park with a wine and cheese spread (sharing optional), you’re sure to start off the month on a great note.

A new multi-media, immersive exhibit is coming to The Polygon this weekend. Ghosts of the Machine explores our evolving relationship with technology and burgers viewers to reflect on its impact on our everyday lives.

Freddie Gibbs

The Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs is coming to Vancouver on Friday, June 3rd. His hard-hitting production and lyricism certainly make for a great kickstart to the month!

Doors Open Richmond

Richmond Museum presents the 15th annual Doors Open Richmond, an event featuring a behind-the-scenes look into Richmond’s diverse cultural heritage. Over 35 sites will be open to the public, so get ready for a tour of historic buildings and homes, bakeries, art galleries, and more.

When: In-person events from Saturday, June 4th to Sunday, June 5th

Richmond Night Market

Speaking of Richmond, the Night Market is always a good idea to plan out as the weekend approaches! This year (as always) has some amazing street food and attractions to check out.

Roller Derby & Skate

Rolla Skate Club presents Vancouver’s first-ever roller derby at the PNE this weekend, so put on your rollerskates and get in on the action! Participants in the event include some of the city’s founding mothers of roller derby themselves. The day will commence with an all-ages skate from 6 to 7 pm, followed by the derby from 7 to 8:30 pm, and ending with a 19+ skate until 10 pm.

Enjoy a boozy picnic

The not-so-secret’s out…you can legally drink in these designated parks all spring and summer long. Gather your friends and your white claws and head to the beach!

2022 Canadian Squash Championships
