Tasting Plates North Vancouver

This Wednesday, June 22nd, the folks that brought us Vancouver’s Spring Dumpling Fest is hosting another massive food tasting event. Come with an empty stomach and enjoy food from a bunch of restaurants, cafes, and local vendors at Angry Otter Tap & Forno Brewery.

Outdoor movies at Polygon Gallery

Starting Thursday, June 23rd – you can pull up a lawn chair at the Shipyards for Polygon’s outdoor movie series, Deckchair Cinema. Some upcoming titles to grace the screen include Carts of Darkness and Cleo.

The Vancouver FireFighters Charity is hosting their annual fundraising event for burn survivors and underprivileged youth and elders, and you definitely won’t want to miss out. The models behind this year’s Hall of Flame Calendar will be in attendance, as well as those in consideration for the 2023 Calendar! Reserve your tickets and vote for your faves as they cross the stage at Roxy Cabaret.

Story, story, die

The title of this event is intriguing all on its own – but the choreographed performance piece is definitely a must-see if you have some time on Wednesday, June 22nd or Thursday, June 23rd. Choreographer Alan Lucien Øyen developed this performance with DanceHouse’s dancers to create a thought-provoking piece on how we present a likeable narrative of ourselves to the world. It features cinematic staging, contemporary dance, and spoken word.

Ride the Eagle Coaster

If you have the time to escape to Cypress for a spell, we definitely recommend taking a ride on the Eagle Coaster if you haven’t already. Your ride will be accompanied by towering trees and forested visas, as well as exciting bends in the track to keep things interesting.

The free outdoor music fest and beer garden has several dates left this month, so why not take advantage and come by this Friday, June 24th? Each week, Shipbuilders Square comes alive with the hustle and bustle of guests looking to enjoy live music and local brews at The Patio presented by Stanley Park Brewing.
