By now, we’re sure Hamilton fans have heard the good news. The world-renown musical is coming to Vancouver this month and will kick off its series of shows at Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Thursday, May 24th.
The even better news? Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller teamed up with Broadway Across Canada to create a digital lottery for the show, and they have 40 tickets priced at $10 each to give out for each performance! That’s right, you can enter to win $10 tickets to Hamilton this month, and here’s how it all works.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s start with some ground rules:
- Must be 18+ years old to enter
- One entry per person (repeats will be discarded)
- Each winning entrant can purchase up to two tickets to a show
- Lottery tickets are not valid for prior purchases
- All sales are final – no refunds or exchanges
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s dive into how the digital lottery works.

A new nostalgic snack shop just opened in Vancouver & you can find snacks from around the globe
How to enter:
First, you’ll want to download the official app for Hamilton if you haven’t already (now available for all iOS and Android devices). Next, you’ll wait for the lottery to open at 10 am every Friday, starting on Friday, May 13th. You’ll have until noon on the following Thursday to enter, starting on Thursday, May 19th.
Once the lottery is closed, winners will be selected for the following week’s performances. In this case, the May 13th-19th lottery will supply tickets for the shows between May 24th and May 29th.
Remember, no purchase is necessary to enter, and any purchases you do make will not increase your chances of winning. This lottery is about pure luck–so get out there and roll the dice!
Fingers crossed, Vancouver!
