The weekend that follows a long weekend feels a little odd, we’ll admit it. Thankfully, there are plenty of fun things to do in and around Vancouver that will feel like it never ended in the first place. Here’s to hoping the sun and weather align!

Khatsahlano Street Party

We’re kicking off the list with the headliner of the weekend: The iconic return of the Khatsahlano Festival to West 4th. ICYMI,
the massive music and arts fest is back on for its 10th anniversary – and there will be a ton of great live music, street food, and arts & cultural programming to participate in. If you’re not sure where to start, check out our roundup of 10 must-see things at Khatsahlano this weekend.

FVDED in the Park

FVDED in the Park is finally back & coming in extra hot this year – with an unreal lineup. Don Toliver, Illenium, Rick Ross, and Yung Lean are just some of the headliners – don’t miss out! Take the post-Canada Day festivities right on over to Surrey, you know you want to!

Another fun Friday excursion? A concert at the PNE – the psych-rock band Khruangbin is coming to town and we’re ready to end the week on a high note.

Aburi Market in West Van

The first-ever Aburi Market in West Van is in full swing, and you can enjoy loads of delicious Japanese eats and unique home goods from various local and international vendors. The market is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm.

The PNE is seemingly at the centre of much of Vancouver’s summer fun, and we can certainly understand why. Another staple is Craft Beer Week, and this year’s event will feature over 150 craft beer and cider tastings, including local faves like 33 Acres, House of Funk, Fernie Brewing Co., Twin City, and much more.

Take a look at their website and book your day pass now – it’s only a 1.5-hour bus ride, but you’ll have memories that last a lifetime. Cool off in the crystal blue waters of Garibaldi and explore over 90 km of hiking trails.

Yes, you read that right. Legendary gelateria La Casa Gelato is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a huge gelato block party, and we can only imagine how many delicious, handcrafted flavours will be in attendance. The event will take place on Sunday, July 10th from 1 pm to 6 pm.
