We’ve got some great news for fans of Japanese cuisine! A brand new ABURI market is opening in West Vancouver, and their grand opening is this Wednesday, June 1st. Mark your calendars & prepare your stomachs for all the fresh sushi and wagyu you can eat!

The team behind award-winning restaurants Miku and Minami is officially launching their highly-anticipated premium Japanese Washoku concept after three years of planning. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the month of June than with a market showcasing the artistry, history, and of course – the amazing cuisine – of Japan.

The eats:

The market and grocery concept aims to take visitors through the best of Japan’s specialty food. The 4,000 square foot space features plenty of ‘stations’ to explore, including made-to-order bowls, sliced wagyu, frozen meal kits, ready-to-eat seafood, and imported Japanese sauces, snacks, & sweets.

The home goods:

In addition to some seriously delicious eats, Aburi Market will feature a variety of tableware and home goods designed by Kyoto-based artist Hideki Kimura. You’ll also be able to spot Arita-Yaki plate ware, with origins dating back to the early 1600s.

Customers will also have same-day delivery and local pick-up options if the vibe is chilling at home with your Aburi eats. Orders can be placed directly on ABURI Market’s website or via UberEats or Local Express.

On the day of the launch, the first 75 guests to visit will receive complimentary tote bags, onigiri, and shopping vouchers on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The market will be open Tuesdays to Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. Stay tuned via their socials and website for future updates!

We’ll see you there, Vancouver!
