Well, we made it folks. The last week of September is here, bringing with it a new season. Whether it’s the PSLs that get you excited, the changing leaves, or the promise of harvest festivals and haunted houses, the best part of fall (in our humble opinion) is that there’s a little something for everyone. And with that, let’s dive into the best things to do in Vancouver this week (September 26-30).
Chvrches (pronounced ‘churches’) are a Scottish pop band from Glasgow, formed back in 2011. The band takes its inspo from synth-pop, incorporating indietronica and electronic dance into their sound as well. So, buckle in for quite an electric performance on Wednesday, September 28th.

The second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is coming up this Friday, and there are plenty of ways to observe the day to honour the victims, families, and survivors of residential schools. From Carousel Theatre’s production of nîkwatin sîpiy to the multiple Orange Shirt Days taking place around Vancouver – here are just some of the ways you can engage with Indigenous communities throughout the Lower Mainland.

Built between 1910 and 1915, the KVR “Kootenay to Coast Connection” powered BC’s pioneer fruit industry into world markets, and connected numbers of families, job-seekers, and travellers alike. Flash-forward to today, and folks can ride on this historic railway through 10 miles of beautiful vistas, lush orchards and vineyards, and lake views.

Pumpkins After Dark is officially back with 6,000 glowing pumpkins on display in Burnaby. Load up on sweet treats and take part in one of Canada’s largest outdoor Halloween events!
