The first game was a doozy, and we have a feeling that they’re only going to get better! The Flames will play at home once more on Friday, before going on the road for Sunday. And even if you didn’t snag tickets, we’ve got tons of places to catch them!

RIDE THE COASTER AT CALAWAY PARK

Looking to do something a little more fast-paced this spring? Adrenaline junkies are encouraged to ride the coaster or eat all the carnival food their stomachs can handle at Calgary’s Calaway Park, which happens to open for the season this weekend!

HEAD TO WINSPORT

Speaking of attractions opening for the season, Winsport’s summer activities also kick off this weekend! Enjoy their zip-line, try your hand at summer bobsleigh, or simply get a round of mini-golf in!

DIVE INTO HISTORY AT HERITAGE PARK

The opening weekends just keep coming! To round things out, the historical village at Heritage Park will also open this weekend, with steamship cruises, train rides, and live entertainment alongside all the exhibitions to check out.

BASK IN NOSTALGIA AT THE AVRIL LAVIGNE CONCERT

The myth – the legend, Avril Lavigne is back and her 2022 tour is rolling into Calgary. This weekend, line your eyes and head over to the Scotiabank Saddledome for the year’s most nostalgic show. You won’t want to miss it!

TAKE ON YYCAESARFEST

It’s finally here! The Caesar is deeply rooted in our YYC’s history so it only makes sense that one of the largest events celebrating the drink be held in Calgary! This week, fans of the drink can hit the Stampede grounds where local bars and restaurants will be showcasing different variations of the boozy bevy under one roof.

CHECK OUT GLENBOW MUSEUM’S TEMPORARY GALLERY

Looking for something low-key? This week, check out Calgary’s FREE Glenbow Museum popup exhibition space at the Edison. Featuring art from all over the world and right here in Alberta, this unique experience is certainly one you won’t want to miss!

STROLL THROUGH NIKKA YUKO GARDEN

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is one of the most beautiful places in all of North America and this week you can finally wander through fields of flowers, trees, and the beautifully cut grass of the iconic location. Check it out this Thursday and enjoy!

PLAY IN THE QUANTUM SANDBOX

The first of its kind in Canada, Spark’s permanent digital art gallery has opened a brand new exhibit that will take you to a whole new dimension. This week, check it out and say bon voyage to reality – but beware, you might not want to come back!
