There’s a FREE pizza party planned for a new public plaza in Kitsilano

Thinking of heading down to Kits this week for a little shopping or a trip to the beach? Well, you might want to go on Thursday, July 8th, because a free pizza party is planned to celebrate the opening of a new public plaza. A few names are behind this fun idea, and we’ve got the details for you!

The ‘Plaza Kickoff Party’ is the result of a combined effort between La Ruota, Las Margaritas and local mural artists WKNDRS. If that wasn’t enough, the good folks at the Museum of Vancouver and the non-profit organization Kits House are also helping put it on. Yeah, this can easily be called a team effort.

The Plaza Kickoff Party kicks off (hehe) at 6 PM, and will be on pretty much throughout the evening. In addition to the pizza from La Ruota, Las Margaritas will be offering some mocktails as refreshments. These will be available on a first come first served basis, so we recommend starting early!

And, even if you can’t make it down there on Thursday, we recommend swinging by this new public plaza at least once this summer! Heck, pair it with some takeout treats from La Ruota and have a pizza party of your own!

Plaza Kickoff Party

When: Thursday, July 8th at 6PM
Where: West 4th Avenue & Maple Street
