Can we get a yeehaw for some incredible Stampede fireworks? We sure hope so, because this year they’re coming to not just Calgary, but three other Albertan cities as well! That’s right, the organizers are turning the kick-off fireworks into a province-wide affair. Here’s the scoop.
On Friday, July 9th, folks in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge will be treated to a spectacular fireworks show. The shows will all happen at the same time, starting at 11PM. Geeze, southern Alberta sure is in for a treat this week! But hey, that’s par for the course when Stampede’s back.

Here’s where the shows will take place:
- Calgary- Stampede Park
- Red Deer- Bowden Ponds
- Edmonton- Expo Centre Grounds
- Lethbridge- Exhibition Park
Edmonton and Lethbridge are both encouraging to head right down to their grounds to check out the show, while Red Deer advises “anywhere in Downtown” should work. And of course, the best place to see Calgary’s show is from your seat at the Evening Show!
