Get excited, Ontario. The Merry Market is returning for another season of holiday cheer!

Later this month, a beautifully restored historic factory will transform into a twinkling wonderland.

At this sprawling market, you’ll find all kinds of unique locally-made products that make perfect holiday gifts.

This year, The Merry Market won’t be charging an admission fee, so you can enjoy the festive atmosphere for free and support local makers while you’re at it.

On the opening night of the market, a 35-foot Christmas tree will be illuminated in the atrium, along with a live performance and a very special surprise guest.

In years past, the event has featured warm and tasty bevies for sale that you can sip on while you wander.

The market is also known for its magical photo ops, including ice sculptures, a big red phone booth, and the tree decked out with Kellogg cereal-inspired ornaments.

The outdoor Winter Village is typically adorned with twinkling lights and festive decor, along with a long lineup of wooden huts occupied by vendors selling goodies and gifts.

Details about this year’s market are still to come, so stay tuned for all the info!

In the meantime, you can look forward to the many holiday markets and events coming to our province this November and December.

That includes the highly-anticipated WinterFest at Canada’s Wonderland, the German-themed Christkindl Market in Kitchener, and of course, The Distillery District Winter Village in Toronto.

It’s shaping up to be a season of non-stop holiday fun in our province and we can’t wait.
