Experience the sights, sounds, and scents of the holiday season at this Christmas festival in Ontario. Make your way to Kitchener for its annual Christkindl Market this December. Watch as the streets transform into a traditional festival inspired by the Christmas festivals found in Germany.
According to the City of Kitchener, the Christkindl Market will fill the streets of Kitchener with exciting holiday activities, delicious eats, fun shopping experiences, and more.
All are welcome to enjoy the festivities which take place for four days in December. Per the city, it’s a traditional festival of Christmas that dates back 700 years, modeled after those found in Germany.

According to Destination Ontario, you can shop for all kinds of gifts, crafts, and knick-knacks as you explore the local boutiques.
Hungry? You can chow down on a soft pretzel and sip on mulled wine and you watch performances and exciting demonstrations throughout the festivities.
“Christkindl Market was brought to Kitchener’s City Hall by founder Tony Bergmeier. It was designed to breathe life into the core of downtown Kitchener,” shares the city.
“Today, over 35,000 visitors from across North America come to experience our award-winning festival.”
