This new Indian Fusion spot just opened in downtown Toronto & it serves Halal brunch

A new spot has opened on Queen Street West in Toronto, and it offers Halal brunch. The Kettle, a new Indian fusion restaurant, is open 7 days a week and it’s located right by Trinity Bellwoods Park.

According to the restaurant’s website, The Kettle is owned by friends who wanted to create “modern Indian Fusion cuisine matched with Canadian.”

They add that it is the first “upscale”fusion restaurant with flavours of India in “a Canadian way.”

Their regular menu includes quick bites (such as Hakka fried Momo and Samosa), burgers, as well as mains like Beef Pea Kheema with Malbar paratha.

On weekends, Halal brunch is offered between 11 am and 3 pm, and the menu includes Challah Gulab Jamun French Toast, Kheema Toast, and Croissant CLT (made with chicken).

The restaurant offers hot and cold kettles (hence its name), and those include Masala Chai as well as Saffron & Turmeric Milk. You can also get a Delhi style cold coffee or a Saffron Lassi here!

And as for dessert, expect Indian Tiramisu and Gulab jamun Cheesecake, which is rich with “Indian flavours” and has a sweet surprise on the inside.

Reservations for The Kettle are available online.
