Kananaskis Country in Alberta is easily one of the most beautiful places in the province and this week you can explore it for free.
In order to commemorate National Indigenous Peoples Day this year, Alberta Parks has decided to wave its recently implemented conservation fees – a pay-as-your-travel program that funds maintenance and public safety efforts in the area.

This Tuesday, June 21st, those passing through, enjoying the view, taking a hike, or going camping will not be charged the $15 it typically costs to enter the park.
Instead, they’ll be able to go about their day and can experience all of the magic that Kananaskis has to offer – so check it out.
