Who doesn’t love a free movie screening, especially during the rainier, colder months of the year? Cineplex Community Day is coming back to theatres across the country, and for one day only, you’ll get to take advantage of free movies, gaming, and discounted snacks.
The day is all about raising money for a good cause.
Cineplex Community Day is returning to participating Cineplex, The Rec Room, and Playdium locations on Saturday, Nov. 14, and is once again in support of BGC Canada, Canada’s largest organization dedicated to helping children and youth succeed in over 665 communities.
“Cineplex Community Day reflects what matters most to us: creating moments that bring people together and giving back to the communities that support us,” shares Bill Walker, CEO of Cineplex. “Bringing Canadians together for a morning of fun through movies and games is core to our values and who we are, all while supporting the important work BGC Canada does for young people and families.”
This marks Cineplex’s 14th annual Community Day, with free screenings of the following films from 9 to 11 a.m. local time:
Note that tickets are available in-theatre only on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to free movie admission, guests can snack on regular-sized popcorn, drinks, and select candy for $3 a pop (plus tax), until 11 a.m.
If you prefer to do some gaming before your movie starts, XSCAPE locations will have 30-minute non-redemption playcards or tokens available between 9 and 11 a.m.
Likewise, The Rec Room and Playdium will have one-hour game bands between 9 and 11 a.m., giving guests the chance to explore a variety of immersive games.
Select snacks at both locations will be available until noon for $3 each, plus tax:
For the whole day, $1 from every concession, food or beverage, game band (and reload) purchase will go towards BGC Canada.
Mark your calendars, movie lovers.
