Bill Gates and Elon Musk among speakers for TED2022 in Vancouver

Quick- got an extra $25,000 USD kicking around??? If you do, then maybe you’ll want to check out TED2022 in Vancouver this year. The long-running convention for some of the world’s most notable and influential names returns to the city next month. And, the lineup has its fair share of (relative) star power.

Of course, it’s hard to overlook the inclusion of two of the richest people on the planet- Bill Gates and Elon Musk. Gates, who is ‘billed’ (hehe) as technologist and philanthropist, will be talking about preventing pandemics, which he also discussed at TED2015. Meanwhile, Musk will be discussing his life as a serial entrepreneur. Sadly, we doubt either of them will discuss the importance of being able to jump over a chair.

But, they’re just two names out of dozens of speakers. What’s more, the lineup ranges from Hollywood powerhouses (Bryce Dallas Howard) to musicians (Cordae) and even a ‘sexual wellness storyteller’ (Gina Gutierrez). One thing’s for sure- this 2022 event will be a melting pot of some of the most interesting and influential people on the planet.

That access comes at a pretty high price, to be sure. With both lower ticket levels sold out, the next available option is to apply as a ‘donor’, which comes with a $25,000 USD attendance fee. Yeah, maybe we’ll wait for the talks to come out on YouTube.

We’ll still be keeping our eyes open while it’s on, though- it would be funny to bump into Bill at a Starbucks or something.

TED2022
