If your New Year resolution was to make bank in 2024, look no further. This spring, one Albertan will win a whopping $100,000 – but it’ll be no easy task!
A new reality show aptly named ‘The Sugar Mama’ is looking for 12 musicians, poets, visual artists, comedians, dancers and performers, to participate in its second season and you can apply now!

Think you have what it takes to win over the audience? This particular casting call will accept submissions from Calgary, Edmonton and its surrounding areas – but only until January 24th, 2024 at midnight MST.
There are, however, a few things of note before you submit your 60 to 90-second video explaining why you deserve the opportunity.
To be considered, contestants must be over the age of 18 as of May 9, 2024, and must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents living in the province.
You also must be free to film in Southern Alberta and have to be available for the entire production schedule from Thursday, May 9th to the 25th of 2024.
Pushed to extremes, contestants will need to demonstrate that in addition to being great at what they do, they have a good heart and the drive to “overcome personal challenges.”

“This series will represent diverse voices and perspectives. Members from the 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities are encouraged to apply,” they write on their website.
“Participants will be mentored and have opportunities to develop, learn and build their skills. All participants will receive honouraria and one will receive $100,000. Each episode will spark the imagination and creativity of twelve passionate personalities who will share their creative art form and inspire viewers to explore and bring imagination into every aspect of their lives.”
