It didn’t come wrapped with ribbons and bows, but it is quite the gift!

Filmed entirely in Alberta, Netflix newbie ‘My Life With the Walter Boys,’ has just been renewed for a second season, but that should come as no surprise!

“I am beyond thrilled that My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season,” Melanie Halsall, the creator, showrunner and executive producer of the series.

“We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show and can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters.”

Unfortunately, they have yet to announce when and where filming will start, but we have a sneaky suspicion that Alberta will get a return visit from the crew.

Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) who plays George Walter, said filming the show actually felt like a vacation – plus the local food scene has gotten a ton of love from the cast.

In addition to the Calgary Ranch where the show takes place, the cast spent a lot of their free time hanging out in and around the city and eating a lot.

“The amount of times we’ve talked about Cinnaholic…” Rodriguez told Netflix’s TUDUM who added that a season 2 might “mean a return to Canadian haunts like The Big Cheese Poutinerie,” another spot the cast had frequented while in Calgary.

Our opinion? It sounds like a sure thing, but we’ll keep you updated as more information rolls in!

Until then, check out season 1 or relive the magic on social media. Heck, maybe do so with a mouthful of cheese curds!

We’ll be on the edge of our seats!
