There’s nothing like a good festival! It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, there is almost always a festival going on somewhere in the country whether is celebrating culture, food and more. The Lumby Outhouse Race takes comes around every year and is set again for January 2024 in BC. The festivities include a race where outhouses are the source of mobility! There’s prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and even most decorated outhouse!

If you need a translation, it means Pig Festival. Yep, this festival comes around every year in Sainte-Perpétue, Quebec, and is a party for all things pigs! The festival features music, entertainment, live pigs and the National Greeded Pig Race, which attracts nearly 6,000 spectators each year.

Now this may not be an official festival, but it does happen annually and it’s pretty strange! The Hair Freezing Contest happens in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories, and holds competitions for Best Male, Best Female, Best Group and other hair-freezing categories!
