Wienerfest

Wienerfest celebrates all things wiener dogs! This festival in Embro Ontario is held each year and features a costume contest and the highly-anticipated wiener dog races! The festival is slated to make its 2024 return in June with no exact dates set just yet.

Spock Days

Star Trek fans far and wide come to Vulcan, Alberta for the Spock Days festival! The annual event usually runs the second weekend of June and pays tribute to the town’s unusual name with games, costume contests, bands and a parade!

Nanaimo Marine Festival & Great International World Championship Bathtub Race

Yep, you read that right! Nanaimo, British Columbia hosts a festival every year that features the World Championship Bathtub Race. The festival and race are held in July each year and it is exactly what it sounds like. Racers compete against each other in a race of motorized bathtubs!

Penticton Elvis Festival

Thank you, thank you very much! If you’re a fan of Elvis then you’ll want to get yourself to Penticton, British Columbia. This annual fest is Canada’s largest and longest-running Elvis festival. Guests can enjoy competitions, live music and more!

Lumby Outhouse Race

The Lumby Outhouse Race takes comes around every year and is set again for January 2024 in BC. The festivities include a race where outhouses are the source of mobility! There’s prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and even most decorated outhouse!

Festival Du Cochon 

If you need a translation, it means Pig Festival. Yep, this festival comes around every year in Sainte-Perpétue, Quebec, and is a party for all things pigs! The festival features music, entertainment, live pigs and the National Greeded Pig Race, which attracts nearly 6,000 spectators each year.

Hair Freezing Contest

Now this may not be an official festival, but it does happen annually and it’s pretty strange! The Hair Freezing Contest happens in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories, and holds competitions for Best Male, Best Female, Best Group and other hair-freezing categories!
