Fall flavour: Starbucks Canada’s new fall menu brings Pumpkin Spice & all things nice

Summer is not yet over but Pumpkin Spice Latte season is officially here – at Starbucks, that is. The popular coffee chain has released its fall menu with the addition of two new seasonal beverages and the return of two fan favourites. This year also marks Starbucks’ 20th anniversary of its beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte so there’s lots to celebrate. Let’s get into it.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte first launched in 2003 and ever since then, it has served as the unofficial start of fall for many. Us included. Though we absolutely love summer, we can’t say we aren’t excited about all things fall.

That being said, you can enjoy Starbucks’ fall menu starting on August 24th. That means you’ll be able to enjoy your PSL in peace as well as try the new additions to the line up. Let’s start with the favourites.

The popular Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is back, including the Apple Crisp Oat Macchiato. Both taste exactly as you’d imagine – like autumn in a cup. Now as for the newbies, you’re in for a treat.

Introducing the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte! According to Starbucks, it was inspired by a popular customer and barista customization. According to the coffee chain, it’s a combination of a creamy chai tea with pumpkin cream cold foam with a touch of pumpkin spice.

“We’re excited to celebrate the creativity of our baristas and customers by offering the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte on the official fall menu. The warm spice flavours of chai and pumpkin seamlessly blend together, creating a creamy and comforting iced beverage,” said Starbucks beverage developer Billy Altieri.

Another new addition is the Iced Apple Crisp Oat Shaken Espresso. This drink combines Starbucks’ Blonde Espresso with flavours of apple, cinnamon and brown sugar, which is then shaken together and topped off with Oat beverage for that creamy texture.

“The warm, gooey taste of apple crisp paired with a cup of coffee meld perfectly to unveil a cozy beverage customers have come to know and love at Starbucks each fall. The new Iced Apple Crisp Oat Shaken Espresso features creamy oat that perfectly complements the light roast flavours of Starbucks Blonde Espresso,” added Altieri.

And what’s a Starbucks fall menu without some treats? Returning this fall are the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf and Fox Sugar Cookie.

Don’t forget about the new merch and the return of Starbucks Guatemala Casi Cielo return. The Thanksgiving Blend is also making a comeback!

There is a lot to look forward to this fall and we can’t wait to take a sip of it.
