It’s no secret that this year’s Stampede is going to look a whole lot different in 2021. From limited capacity to socially distanced events, the organization has announced that despite still holding the Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth, some of your annual favourites will be reimagined to keep everyone safe. Of course, there’s certainly nothing wrong with trying something new – especially if it’s an homage to the oldies! This season, in place of checking out the Coca-Cola Stage, Calgarians can hit the Stampede Summer Stage, a nostalgic concert series that will feature all-Canadian artists in homage to humble beginnings.

“It’s been a ton of fun to program the Stampede Summer Stage, and we’re so excited to bring another live music opportunity to our community,” said Manager, Stampede Programming, Kyle Corne. “This 2021 experience is a throw-back to the big outdoor music event the Stampede had in the 70s called Summertown.”

“A 100 percent home-grown lineup is our way of tipping our hats to the open-air concert area that started it all, and of course we are kicking it up a bunch of notches with nearly 30 performances in 11 days this July.”
