We’ve got an update for those who like to keep track of the snow forecast in Vancouver. While it might be all sunshine (and no rainbows) this week, the city could see up to 25 cm of snowfall by next week, with flurries in the forecast appearing as soon as this weekend.

According to The Weather Network, Vancouverites can expect the sun to shine all week long, accompanied by a few clouds at worst. But by Saturday, December 17th, “mixed precipitation” and snow flurries are back.

On Sunday and Monday, “light snow” and “scattered flurries” will follow, with temperatures plummeting once again into -4 to -7 celsius. And on Tuesday, December 20th, a proper snowfall of up to 10 cm is expected.

So, it’s time to break out your snow gear again and maybe even get a little snow angel-making action in before it all melts away. Because while we’re hoping for a white Christmas this year, there are no guarantees.

And that’s all we’ve got for now regarding the snow watch. Enjoy the snow while you can, Vancouver.
